Tecomate Food Plot Seed

Tecomate Seed Manager’s Line is a bulk bagged food plot seed line that is more cost effective than retail bags for planting bigger numbers of food plots. My prices are some of the LOWEST IN THE COUNTRY – especially on Tecomate Seed Chicory which is my #1 choice for perennial food plots. I do not order extra food plot seed so that I do not carry food plot seed over to the next year – I do not like to buy year old food plot seed myself and therefore I will not sell year old food plot seed to my customers.  Tecomate Seed is owned by Barenbrug International Seed Company and they are the world’s largest seed company and provide the most premium seed varieties that you will find out there including exclusive varieties – Barblanca White Clover, Barduro Red Clover, and Commander Chicory.

Remember that we can drop ship pallets of Tecomate food plot seed anywhere in the continental United States but larger orders will be more cost effective. If you would like pricing on Tecomate and other food plot seed sent to your email address, please send me an email at dbwoutdoors@yahoo.com or call 888-917-4637.

To get the latest prices and products when they come out, please send me an email to dbwoutdoors@yahoo.com and tell me your name and what state you are from.  This will get you on the mailing list – I only send out 6-8 emails per year.  There is nothing more irritating to me than companies constantly sending out emails – you will only get important updates from me.  I’ve had lots of new clients miss out on ordering seed because it’s sold out and they would have been updated had they gotten on the email list.  Don’t miss out!

Tecomate Seed Barduro Red clover is a biennial clover that is also preferred by deer during fall, winter, and spring in food plots.  The proteins in Tecomate Seed Barduro Red Clover are protected by quinones in the clover that  increase the protein available in the bloodstream for antler development – similar to how tannins in chicory protect the protein.  Tecomate Seed Barduro Red Clover does well in lower pH food plots than white clover. Coated with Yellowjacket coating for increased germination and growth under dry food plot conditions.  Tecomate Seed Barduro Red Clover was developed by the University of Florida to be drought tolerant – the only food plot legume species to survive the 25 AND 100 year droughts in Alabama at a research center.  Tecomate Seed Barduro Red Clover also survived under 2 foot of snow in Idaho making it a truly nationwide capable food plot clover.  Barduro Red Clover is an exclusive for Tecomate through their parent company Barenbrug Seed.

Tecomate Seed Baralfa X-42 Hybrid Alfalfa is a variety of alfalfa food plot seed that has finer stems and more plant vigor – able to take on drier and hotter conditions better in food plots.  Tecomate Seed Baralfa X-42 Hybrid Alfalfa has very good calcium content which makes it an attractive forage for antler devlopment.  Like Tecomate Seed Barduro Red Clover and Tecomate Seed Chicory, the proteins in Tecomate Seed Baralfa X-42 Hybrid Alfalfa are protected and more protein is available for antler development.  Tecomate Seed Baralfa X-42 Hybrid Alfalfa has a branched root system similar to the Falcata alfalfa varieties – it does better than conventional tap root alfalfa varieties in poorly drained soils with more clay.  Coated with Yellowjacket coating for increased germination and growth under dry food plot conditions.  Tecomate Seed Baralfa X-42 Hybrid Alfalfa is a Sunstra variety with a low dormancy rating of 4 which means it stays greener longer into the fall for better attraction during hunting seasons.  Tecomate Seed Baralfa X-42 finished #1 in food plot trials in Athens and Tifton Georgia and also finished in the top 4 out of 30+ varieties in food plot trials in Iowa and Wisconsin making it a nationwide capable alfalfa food plot seed variety.

Tecomate Seed Chicory – 25 lb. bag – plants 3 acres alone or 6 acres in a mix or 10 pound bag – plants 1 acre alone or 2.5 acres in a mix
Tecomate Seed Chicory is my #1 perennial food plot forage due to it’s superior combination of high mineral content, high protein levels, good fiber levels, and presence of innulins and tannins that help to regulate rumen pH.  Tecomate Seed Chicory has a slightly higher calcium content than alfalfa.  Tecomate Seed Chicory also contains a long taproot that breaks up hardpans in food plots and makes it much more drought hardy than other food plot forages.  The final advantage is that Tecomate Seed Chicory is easy to grow and maintain and can be grown in much lower pH food plots than similar food plot forages on the same high nutritional plane.  I plant Tecomate Seed Chicory almost exclusively in my perennial food plots.  Tecomate Seed has two primary varieties of chicory seed – Commander and Forage Feast.  Commander is the only chicory seed on the food plot market that can hold it’s protein level year round in warmer climates like the Southeast.  Commander chicory seed variety is not as winter hardy as the Forage Feast and for that reason Tecomate Seed uses Forage Feast for food plot seed that is going to states up North where it is colder.  Commander chicory is an exclusive food plot seed for Tecomate through their parent company Barenbrug Seed.

Tecomate Seed Alpha X-Treme – 25 lb. bag – plants 2.5 acres or 10 lb. bag – plants 1 acre
Tecomate Seed Alpha X-Treme contains patented Sunstra Hybrid Alfalfa; proven to provide more digestibility and palatability than traditional alfalfa. Everybody knows that Alfalfa grows trophy bucks and naturally attracts deer; Alpha X-Treme takes that to the next level. Nutritionally, alfalfa is excellent and performs better than White Clover under more arid conditions. The challenge with traditional alfalfa is that it has been developed for hay production and does not tolerate close and constant browse pressure. Hybrid alfalfa establishes better and produces more tonnage per acre than conventional alfalfa. The finer stemmed and leafier hybrid alfalfa also has better regrowth than traditional hay type alfalfa. We combine patented Sunstra Hybrid Alfalfa with our proprietary Red Clover and Chicory to deliver the best perennial food plot for areas. To insure the best stand we have treated Tecomate Seed Alpha X-Treme with our proprietary Yellow Jacket coating. Tecomate Seed Alpha X-Treme is ideal for use in all zones.
